Stacy Marple, Senior Research Associate



Dr. Stacy Marple brings to See Change over ten years of experience working in a range of capacities with youth development organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. After a successful career in management, Stacy renewed her interest in public sector work through direct service with the East Bay Conservation Corp and Playworks. While pursuing a graduate degree, she partnered with community based organizations and schools, working as a digital arts teacher, an ethnographic researcher, and an evaluator. In addition, she was a key member of a foundation funded, international team of educators that developed, implemented, and assessed the impact of, an online social network for middle school aged youth.

Stacy recently completed a pilot evaluation of SFUSD's ExCEL after school programs, with UCSF.

Holding a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley in Education Stacy has expertise in qualitative data collection and analysis, learning and curriculum development in after school and enrichment programs, literacy theory and digital literacy, and the role of the body in communication and education. Stacy is passionate about supporting youth development and social justice organizations, and providing them with the tools to make the results and impact of their work widely accessible.
